spotlight: machine coolant
Each week will take a look at a different waste stream or service.
This weeks is machine coolant, or commonly referred to as suds or white water. It is a soluble oil that is mixed with water to create a milky coolant used when machining metal.
This soluble oil and water mixture cannot be put down the drain and must be disposed of properly.
We provide many CNC machining companies, factories and metal recycling facilities with the service of tankering away their waste machine coolant.
We usually tanker machine coolant or soluble oil away, or for smaller quantities, it can be palletised and put onto a curtain-sider.
The coolant is transported to the refineries where the soluble oil can be extracted from the water and recycled properly.
